Bertoia Harry

Harry Bertoia (Pordenone, March 10, 1915 - Pennsylvania, November 6, 1978) was an Italian artist and designer. Born in Italy, he began taking drawing classes in 1928. Later he left his country, first emigrated to Canada and then moved to Detroit in the USA. He developed his career as a designer. Their chairs made of wire rods made him famous. Artist, university lecturer and furniture designer, designed the Diamond chair welded rod was patented by Knoll International in 1952. Innovative, comfortable and uncommon beauty, yet its strength, has a delicate filigree appearance.
